One of a kind, hand-screen printed test print.

Test prints are a unique by-product of the screen printing process. They serve many purposes. They help test screen registration, opacity of ink, aid in cleaning and clearing out of ink during or at the end of a print run. Test prints are usually done on spare pieces of paper lying around the print shop, almost always from a previous print job. So they have ink tests and smudges on them, finger prints, emulsion drips, as well as occasionally dings, folds, creases, etc. Over time, the buildup of various print jobs along with the accidental imperfections on the paper, is where the compositional magic happens. Each test print is a unique, one-of-a-kind mono-print and can never be reproduced. Each is signed and numbered 1/1.
